CES is now over and the tech blogs/media will start flooding the internet with videos of new products announced this year. The Pebble Steel was one of the favorite of tech media this year.
Original Pebble Pebble Steel
The Pebble, a minimal smartwatch that showcases notifications on your wrist, was announced in January 2013 for 150$ after a public fund raising project. It is waterproof till 5 ATM, has support for apps, battery life of 5-7 days, watch faces, changeable straps and an e-paper technology for enhanced reading experience(seriously, who is going to read books on their watch?). It went forward to be a huge hit despite of its quirks like not too beautiful, no touchscreen and the fact that you cannot reply to notifications straight from your wrist. As of July 2013 there were 85,000 units sold.

Pebble announced the Pebble Steel at CES this year. Being priced at 100$ more than the previous Pebble, the Pebble Steel includes a new metallic strap (that looks much better), smaller bezels, double the RAM than the previous version, some new apps and of course all the features of the previous version. One notable change is the addition of Gorilla Glass which will help reduce scratches. The newer version also includes an option of 2 different straps.
Pebble Steel is also 100$ more expensive than its other counterpart.
